About us

Wietorówka is our house – our love at first sight. We want you to discover what we did. The wild and beautiful Jizera Foothills with numerous monuments took over our hearts; and, when we learnt that at Lubomierz, the famous printer Hieronim Wietor was born, we decided to call our house after his name. Come to our place and we will tell you more!

Marta and Przemek

Where does the name Wietorówka come from?

It is Lubomierz that the famous printer from the Royal Chancellery of King Sigismundus I the Old - Hieronim Wietor comes from. Being graphic designers, our hearths thumped harder when we learned that. Therefore, we called our house using  his name. In our logo, we have applied the style of fonts that were used in his printing office. Inspired by his works, in our plans, we consider opening a workshop to promote the surrounding area.

Your stay at the Wietorówka

We will host you in one of the rooms or in a suite with a convenient separate entrance. Although the house is rather old and we enjoy having every preserved original element, we have always attempted to make the stay of our guests full of comfort. All the rooms have a unique atmospheres and setting.

Local/Regional Products

Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen, and the rooms have an access to the kitchenette.  We can advise our guests where to buy local products and which of the neighbours can prepare delicious dumplings (pierogis) for you. Every Saturday, at Sulęcin, there is a local market right under the Tower. You can order your food with a supply to the Wietorówka; and, within the holiday season, you can order full catering.

Moreover...

As far as possible, we can organize outdoor meals at your request. We can also provide access to the barbecue area. In summer and in autumn during the walking tours, you can eat raspberries, blackberries, apples, pears and cherries with no limits. Nearby, there are a number of shops at your disposal.

The Old Orchard

Can you imagine a light breeze doffing your face? Beside the house, you can see an orchard where there is a table laid with a white cloth. Apple trees, plum trees an pear trees shield the place of the joint meal before sunrise. In a moment, you are going to have something delicious out in the open.

The Groove behind the Barn

Right behind the barn, we have a small groove where we have hammocks, deck-chairs and there you can have view of the beautiful sunset. Farther on, behind the wicket, there are meadows, pastures, forests and hills. Those will give you an opportunity to make shorter or longer walking tours – even as far as to Lwówek Śłąski.

The Creative Barn

Just a few steps away from the guesthouse, there is a good place to accomplish your plans. Reading while lying in a hammock, setting the easel, watching the birds?  Right! The barn gives you an inspiration every day and it is a convenient place to  meet. There, you will find the cupboard with utensils, the table, the couch, and even the bed on the old thresher.

The Blue Trail

An expedition on the slopes of Kamiennik – north of Mielęcice will allow you to discover an extraordinary view of the valley and to see Lubomierz, Milęcice, Popielówek and Oleszna Podgórska against the background of the Jizera Mountains and the Giant Mountains. There you can meet animals, birds of prey and, less often, another wanderer...
